After putting Athens, GA, on the musical map in the early '80s, R.E.M. went on to become one of the world's biggest bands. Fusing folk, garage rock, pop sensibilities, and insightful lyrics delivered with Michael Stipe's inimitable lead vocals, these alt-rock forefathers built a massive indie following, and in 1988 unleashed their major-label debut, Warner Bros.' This disc replaces the catalog-CD version released in 2006. As with the previous releases in Rachel Podger's Mozart sonata series, volume three includes works from the composer's early, middle and late periods to provide a balanced survey of Mozart's stylistic changes in the genre. Podger is accompanied by fortepianist Gary Cooper.

Rachel Podger and Gary Cooper continue to impress the world with their Mozart seres on historical instruments. This is the fifth super audio recording in a series of eight. So far all releases in the series have received great reviews and awards including Gramophone Editor's Choice or Diapason D'or.
